W.A.R: Mix of the Cultures

Biography

Tyrone Crawford was born and raised in the rough inner city streets of Cleveland, Ohio. As an only child, the perception was that he lived a life of household privilege - though, in reality, he was severely affected by the actions of his drug-addicted mother and absentee father. Through a multitude of unfortunate events and experiences, he was led into the street life where he began selling drugs and was drawn into street violence. At the age of 14, Tyrone began rapping with a few of his neighborhood friends. He lived a rebellious life that mirrored his secular lyrics usually lyrics degrading women, cars he didn't own, or money he didn't have. Just as Tyrone’s life was about to hit rock bottom, his cousin invited him to attend a church service with her. Tyrone gave his life to Christ and was introduced to Christian rap. Through Tyrone’s enlightening, Spirit-filled gospel-rap lyrics, he has a unique way of impacting many generations with his ability to grab their hearts and speak into their situations. To date, Tyrone has released five albums with #5 being the greatest success yet titled "WAR: Worship And Rap (Mix of the Cultures)" which charted #1 Best Selling Christian Rap CD as well as in the top 100 of Gospel CDs on Amazon’s music charts. Tyrone’s big heart has lead him to engage with several non-profit awareness and human services organizations. Contributions from his 2015 tour supported 14 families in need.
