Being known for his catchy flows and distinctive fashion sense, your friendly neighbourhood rapper, SJY, is a 19 year old artist from Singapore. The artist came from a musical background, with his father, Mr. Nathan, sharing the same love and joy for music as his son. SJY began songwriting at the age of 15 while making FIFA videos on YouTube for entertainment. SJY started to take his musical journey seriously at the age of 16, making his first debut single and posting it on social media the following year. SJY decided to follow this journey and hustled for a recognition in this industry with inspiration from Travis Scott. 
 Along the way, SJY met his current producer Dan Rafaael from IN THE NOW whom helps with his music production and managing SJY. A few months later at the age of 17, SJY made a song called Lightbringer which was mixed and mastered by Dan Rafaael, and this song literally was the light-bringer to his musical career. The song blew up amongst mostly the Indian community in Singapore, Malaysia and other parts of the world and did wonders for SJY. Being recognised by other bigger artist in Singapore and getting love from his fans. From then, SJY collaborated and made bangers with other artists and was making his parents so proud of him.
