Rapper, songwriter and producer, Casey808 was Born in Hilo, Hawaii. From a young age Casey808 loved a wide range of music and was heavily influenced by East Coast rap. In 2011, Casey808 would release his first independent EP that would change the direction of Hawaiian Hip Hop. The EP titled, Hawaii Five-O, was executive produced by Rich Nice (Nas, Wyclef) and featured the hit single, All About My Money ft. Busy Signal. The following year, Casey808 would release his first independent album titled, Endless Summer. This project would infuse traditional Hawaiian island sounds and culture with modern Hip Hop, Reggae and RnB. Casey would later define this new sound as Island Urban music. Casey808 would soon catch the attention of legendary radio personality Sway Calloway, who would debut Casey808 to hip hop fans by breaking All About My Money to millions of listeners as the MTV Jam of the Week. All About My Money became an underground success, thus opening the door for Casey808 to collaborate with other artists and producers such as Big Bun, Salaam Remi and local legend J-Boog. Casey808 would continue to push the Island Urban Music brand, eventually capturing a viral hit with the song, Weird Flex. Casey’s inspired flow on Weird Flex would also win the ears of industry heavyweights Rick Ross, Dave East, Gucci Mane amongst many others. This year, Casey is gearing up to release projects with Benny the Butch, Sean Kingston and JadaKiss.
