Terrance Durden, lyrically known as Guru Dynamite, is hip hop artist based in Houston, Texas. At the early age of 15, Guru began to explore his creative mind, and while being influenced by legends such as Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, DMX, LL Cool J, Biggie Smalls, and Tupac, Guru Dynamite began his writing career as a hip-hop artist. In 2012, Guru debuted his first mixtape, Love or Lust, where in it he describes past relationships, break-ups, and difficult memories. In 2017, Guru released the first EP of his series – Instant Klassic, entitled The Creation. In this series, Guru explains events from the past 5 years of his life, saying that “this EP takes a trip into my past, displaying both the positive and negative parts of my life. There are a lot of things that I have never shared with anyone, including my closest friends and family members. This is about me reinventing myself as an artist.” Guru is a mastermind who brings an original element to the game. Guru captivates his audience through the words of his songs. His ability to recreate verse by verse a story allows his fans to envision and relate to both him as an artist, and his music.
