Taking their name from the arc shape they perform in, Curve Ensemble is made up of musicians who play with many of the major orchestras and chamber ensembles on platforms throughout the UK and worldwide, in London’s renowned recording studios for film and TV and for West End shows. Many of Curve Ensemble’s players also compose, improvise and arrange in a variety of genres encompassing folk, contemporary, jazz and experimental sound worlds. Formed in 2023 for a performance presenting new music from a variety of composers from independent record label Bigo & Twigetti, the ensemble gave a performance of 8 immersive and meditative pieces of music with two of the performers also writing music for the event.
