New album ‘The Book of Short Stories’ out 16/6/23. With a passion for vocal harmonies and inspired by Pop, Country and Americana, Andrew Thomas is a British songwriter & performer. Growing up Andrew was privileged to have a Dad that was a record collector. His Father had collected every single that entered the British top 40 since the 1960s. Andrew would spend hours listening to vinyl on his tiny record player in his bedroom. Now, with influences from Crowded House, Ocean Colour Scene, Turin Brakes, Dispatch and Jamestown Revival. His single Homeless Star was included in “Macken Rocks, best of 2020” on Sunderland’s Spark FM. Presenter Mitch Stevenson wrote, “I love listening to new music. But I especially love hearing a song for the first time, and it sends that wee tingle through your body. That happens when it is that good. Heard this song for the first time today - and I just love it. It's seems like a simple composition, with a soft rock (slightly country) feel to it, but the melodies are just great! Just perfection” Andrew is also the guitarist and Songwriter for the band On the Rise. On The Rise have had radio play from BBC introducing Humberside for their songs “Lost in You”, "Eighty three" and "Flight Risk".
