Montreal artist Haven, whose real name is Sarah Dubé, has always been passionate about music. With a variety of written songs under her belt, ranging from Pop to R&B and from Rap to Country, singer-songwriter Haven has drawn her inspiration not only from a diversified musical background, but also from personal experiences. As a sensitive person, Haven loves listening to her loved-one’s feelings and stories and lets those emotions reverberate through her music. Born to Italian and Quebecer parents, it was her father, a percussionist, who showed her how to feel the multiples aspects of the music she creates. Her mother taught her how to feel the emotions she puts into her songs. Marie Mai, Charlotte Cardin, Lady Gaga, Marc Dupré and Justin Bieber are some of the artists that have inspired her and to whom she identifies. Haven has also worked alongside La Voix 2015 winner Kevin Bazinet, with whom she composed Gotta Let You Go and How to Love. Since 2019, she has been focusing more and more on her own music to build a career. She has collaborated with the likes of well-known artists such as Karl Wolf, Richy Jay, Tone and Vincent Lemire, all of whom have helped her broaden her artistic horizons and go out of her comfort zone to showcase her talent.
