DelRoy derived from “Le Roy” referring to one who behaves in a regal fashion, or who has earned the title in some contest of skill. "Le Roy le veult" ("The King wills it"), is a Norman French phrase still used in the Parliament of the United Kingdom to this day as royal assent. Del Roy is a multi-versatile artist whose sound is a blend of numerous genres such as Grime, Dancehall, Reggae, Hip Hop, Soca and Classical Jazz. DelRoy also goes by the monikers “Shewe” which means “The King” in the Shona Language and “Mr Money”. Roy Moyo aka DelRoy was talent spotted by Zimbabwean Dancehall pioneering artist FreeMan in 2015 and has been the Zimbabwean Dancehall Artists’ most promising protégé to make an mark on the international scene. Since 2015, DelRoy has released two E.P.’s titled One More Tune, renowned for and popularised by tracks such as, Come Yah, Busy Signal African version of Free All, Will You Be Mine and Mad Suh followed by Shanduko The E.P. which made waves in the Zimbabwean and African music circles in 2018 with tracks such as Make I Know, One Step and Tatangidza Dhanzi. Its 2019 and DelRoy is embarking on a journey to conquer the international airwaves with the scheduled release of his first international single titled “Price”. Price is set to be released on the 25th February 2019 across all digital platforms and worldwide music charts.
