The Jimmy & Scots Folk Band aims to evoke traditional music through the arrangement of secular songs and unreleased tracks for a journey in time through the Celtic and Norse cultures. Born as a duo from the passion of two friends busking across Europe, they become a five-piece band over the years and perform on the stages of some of the main Italian Celtic festivals, opening for bands such as @The Clan and @Celtica Pipes Rock! After self-producing the first traditional music album “No Man's Tales” in 2019, the band signs a record deal with the 'Maxy Sound' label and releases “Seven Irish Nights” in 2023. The said album, containing the band's first original song (“A Stout For Breakfast”), leads Jimmy & Scots Folk Band to win 'Discovery of the year 2023', 'Best Male Voice 2023' and 'Artist of the Year Chosen by Fans 2023' at the MC Music Awards. In the same year, "Seven Irish Nights" is inserted in the 'Irish Traditional Music Archive', the most relevant archive of Irish music in the world, based in Dublin. In March 2024, while the previous album reaches the milestone of 1 million streams, the band releases "The Viking Irishman", a concept EP based on some of the most relevant historical events occurred in Ireland from the Middle Ages until now. This cutting-edge project aims to catapult the listener into the scene and blends Nordic and Celtic instruments with epic vocal harmonies in a unique storytelling.
