Stephan Bormann is one of the most versatile German guitarists. He performs around 100 concerts per year with the SONGLAND TRIO, HANDS ON STRINGS, the 10STRING ORCHESTRA or SOLOIST. As the guitarist of the Cristin Claas Trio, he was SONY recording artist and toured through various European countries. He is not only a successful musician but also a composer with publications by AMA-Verlag and SCHOTT MUSIC. His SOLO GUITAR BOOK was published there in 2013, presenting various approaches of arranging for solo guitar - with the volume of duets SOUNDS OF THE WORLD, which was published in 2021, he embarked a compositional world tour. As a sideman he has worked with various artists and has performed in concerts with Nils Landgren, Till Brönner, the Klazz Brothers, the Leipzig Big Band, Günther Fischer and many others. Stephan Bormann has been teaching at the Hochschule für Musik in Dresden since 1994, where he is a professor for Jazz/Rock/Pop guitar. Workshops took him to numerous cities in Germany as well as to Italy, France, Austria, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and the USA.
