G-Owens is an artist and songwriter based in San Jose, California. His sound is very direct and passionate, borrowing from influences as diverse as soul, jazz, R&B, and Hip-Hop. He relocated to Arizona about 17 years ago, after spending 21 years in California! He has been passionate about music for his entire life, and even though his parents really didn’t approve of him listening to hip-hop, he still managed to sneak in a few rap tapes and hide them under his bed, so that he could listen to them at night. In addition to performing the vocal parts, G-Owens stands out because he actually produces his own tracks as well (He can play guitar and piano.) To him, music is not only entertainment. It is a way to express himself and connect with the audience, whether freestyling, releasing new songs, or sharing the stage with greats like Talib Kweli and Ryan Leslie, among others!   If you are a fan of artists as diverse as Mac Miller, Pharrell, D’Angelo or even classic icons like Stevie Wonder, G’s music is going to be right up your alley, so don’t sleep on it!
