In the midst of hypnotic bass drones connecting us back to the core, names are uttered, melodies flow in spiralling circles, manifesting ethereal temples of sound that pervade the space and inspire our hearts towards deep transformation." ॐ Born in the Canary Islands, Víctor Sakshin combined his Philosophy University studies with training in Western modern music and engaging in various independent projects. His life got deeply transformed when he found in Yoga a consistent path towards Reality. Since then, he's committed to the tradition of sound yoga in the Dhrupad linage (the oldest form of Indian Classical Music), Mantra & Perennial Wisdom as a whole. Between 2014-2020, he resided in India for an intensive full time Dhrupad training under the guidance of his musical mentors (the Gundecha Brothers). Since 2019, he started performing as a classical vocalist in some important Dhrupad festivals in India, like Dhrupad Utsav (Chennai), Smaran (Bhopal) and Dhrupad Mela (Varanasi). Sakshin has also lived long periods of time in Brazil, where he got widely exposed to various ways of dealing with sound and music in the context of shamanic plant medicine rituals. With a contemporary approach, but deeply grounded in the roots of ancient sacred music traditions, the soul of Sakshin's work revolves around the in-depth syncretic worldwide trance inducing and heart opening uses of sacred music for the expansion of consciousness.
