Ralph Myerz is a Norwegian producer, songwriter and dj that started making a name for himself in Bergen, Norway. Building a popular following with his solo shows in the late 90's, he asked friends Thomas Lonnheim and Tarjei Strom to join him on percussion and drums and found that audiences went nuts for the sound. Already adopting the tag of Ralph Myerz due to his fascination with exploitation filmmaker Russ Meyer, Lonnheim and Strom took the name of the Jack Herren Band (Meyer's cameraman) and Ralph released their first 12", "A Special Morning." on his own. The next year, "Nikita" became a huge underground 7" championed by legends such as Giles Peterson and Dimitri From Paris. The response convinced Ralph Myerz to write an album for Emperor Norton Records. While "Nikita" became a Volkswagen commercial, Myerz and crew released A Special EP, which included their first two singles as well as the new "Clouds" and "Menage a Trois." Later Ralph moved to Los Angeles and San Francisco to further explore his fascination for west coast hip hop. Working with Snoop Dogg, Nipsey Hussle, Devin The Dude, Kurupt, and many more rap legends, resulted in the album Supersonic Pulse, which he won a Norwegian Grammy for. While in California he also recorded the album Outrun (Muzik4LateNiteRidez) which was a homage to long drives at night listening to jazz, disco and funk. All of his albums has been certified either gold or platinum, He has also had several chart topping singles and EP´s.
