Award-winning singer/songwriter/performing artist, Worimi/Gamilaroi man, Jacob Ridgeway is inspired by his childhood passion for RnB melody, authentic Country storytelling and the drive of Hip-Hop production. Jacob paved his cross-genre path performing, opening, or collaborating with such artists as; Jessica Mauboy, Troy Cassar-Daley, Ash Grunwald, Shannon Noll, James Morrison, Emily Wurramara, Urthboy, Sally Walker, John Paul Young, Archie Roach, Guy Sebastian, Emma Donovan and The Veronicas. Jacob released his Grand Prize National Indigenous Story Award-winning debut single 'Bullyman' which charted on the iTunes Alternative Chart (#8) and All Genres Chart (#69). 'Bullyman' also charted on 2021 (#53), 2022 (#15) & 2023 (#12) Triple A Original 100 Countdown and highly commended at the 2018 International Choral Kathaumixw Competition (Canada). 'I'm Not Coming Home' was released in February 2020 and charted on the iTunes Alternative Chart (#22) and All Genres Chart (#122). 'I'm Not Coming Home' also charted on the 2022 (#13) Triple A Original 100 Countdown. In April 2023, Jacob is releasing the I'm Not Coming Home EP featuring rapper Mr Rhodes and remixes from Fox Control that provide colour and contrast lived from dark places survived. The brooding lyrics describe a journey of straying from one's self while blending a demise derived from Jacob and his co-writers own trials and tribulations. Jacob has used the pandemic break to work on new music for release in 2024.
