Cerezal is a folk band out of the norm. The confluence of artists with wide experience in pop, rock, traditional music and electronic music makes their sound a highly interesting one. A modern look into traditional music, a mix of several different styles... and of none. Thoughtful texts, powerful composition and a sensitiveness that goes beyond just music to get closer to literature. Sometimes it is pop done with instruments generally used in acoustic folk; sometimes it is rock made from celtic dances and melodies. There show includes a visual experience, mixing live paint and music. Their first disc Camin counted on important collaborations such as Juan Carlos Vega’s or Victor Manuel’s and it took Cerezal’s music along Spain, France and Switzerland. With successful sales results, it set the foundation for their own sound proposal. With La Cereza’l Cielu the band keeps its focus on their own personal and modern texts, going to the next level with a more mature sound and adding synthesisers and programming. This combination gives as a result a trip for all publics; beyond their loyal their loyal folk public, they call the attention of pop, indie and rock lovers.
