Born on 21st November 2002, Jason Bortei-Doku also known by the stage name Herman Suede, is one of Ghana’s youngest up and coming musicians who has honed his music abilities to meet the demands of the competitive music market Herman the composer, songwriter and singer discovered his love for music at a very young age. Coming from a family of musicians and music lovers, Herman taught himself to play the piano at the age of 4. His parents realising his talent, took him for formal classical piano music lessons. Currently a Grade 5 ABRSM piano player, Herman’s love for the piano has shaped his music style as he often finds himself composing melodies and writing sounds through this medium Herman composes his music based on situations that go on around him, mostly to do with typical lives of teenagers whether it be puppy love or life’s challenges. He is very comfortable with and continues to explore varying genres of music with a view to eventually home in on one or two specific genres in the future. However, he remains versatile with his compositions stretching across a vast array of genres
