Biography

Hill started playing music at an early age and played the clarinet and cello during school. Having grown up in the back room of bars, Jamieson felt very connected to the club and was first hired as a promoter when he was just 14. Hill was able to convince the club owner to let him in on 18+ nights and found himself mesmerized by the DJ, watching his every move and absorbing technique. After being signed by Ford Models and only 17, he moved to NYC and took a job in a club, convincing the manager to let him practice his mixing skills before the main DJ.
In 2004, Hill found himself in Los Angeles engulfed in the underground rave scene, befriending DJs and playing regularly with them at parties. In 2006 he returned to NYC and hosted a weekly radio show on WBMB The Biz. It was here that Hill developed his personality as a DJ. At 22, Jamieson’s remix of Justice and Daft Punk hit #1 on the Hype Machine Popular chart and was hired as a resident DJ in Tokyo, Japan, and played at Tokyo’s F Bar and Vanity Lounge for most of 2010.
In 2011, Hill was cast as the youngest DJ on BET/Smirnoff's Master of the Mix, became a topic of the DJ community for his technique of mashing up tracks and won the title of most talked about cast member.
2019 marks a new frontier for the DJ turned producer. His official remix of Soft Cell's Tainted Love is out now and many tunes will be released this year, including collaborations with @melody thornton, @paul schal, and Jamieson's origional vocals.
