Lyle Omolayo, a Plainfield, New Jersey native, is an emcee who doesn’t rhyme for the sake of riddling. Rooted in community activism and education, Lyle’s music provides a politically charged and introspective yet relatable view, tackling topics often overlooked or taboo in hip hop. Lyle Omolayo is also known as mc enigma and is 1/2 of Negros Americanos, a trilingual hip hop duo formed in Panama City, Panama. Negros Americanos recently released, Lost In The Wilderness a documentary detailing the formation of the group, the journey from New Jersey to Panama and the necessity to break down barriers and engage communities through music and language.
