Bender und Schillinger are a two-person band from Mainz, Germany. Although the duo consisting of Chris Schillinger and Linda Bender has its roots in singer/song writer music, they embody the more energetic renewal of this genre, best described today as alternative pop, with influences from folk, blues, rock and electronic elements. The songs are arranged with a rich variety of instruments, ranging from drums, marimba, keys (Linda) to acoustic and e-guitar (Chris), providing a versatility and variation in (live-) performance, turning the concert experience into something special. Consistent across the music are the strong and distinctive voices, which draw a particular atmospheric sound throughout all songs.
