The m.age.project takes the listener on a colorful trip into cross-genre realms of various cultural influences and state-of-the-art electronic sounds. Producer and DJ Matthias Harnitz from Hannover/Germany is the musical mind behind the m.age.project and he can already look back on numerous releases on labels such as Sony Music, Lump, Baikal Nomads, Ohxalá Rec. and Shango. His music gained support by international radio stations like Ibiza Global Radio and musical collaborations include acclaimed artists of the contemporary organic house/downtempo scene like Holed Coin, Jean Vayat, Slow Nomaden and Lui Mafuta. In 2013 Matthias Harnitz was given the special honor of composing music for His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. The work was performed with 400 kids during the Nobel Peace Prize winner's visit to Hannover as part of an educational event concerning the future prospects for children and the need for a Global Ethic. The release of the daring album "Tattoo Tara" marked the defining step from balearic chill-out onto the stage of world music influenced club sounds. With beard braids behind the turntables the dedicated DJ premiered his fresh signature sound of deep rhythms, ethnic elements and synthesized wizardry at one of Europe's most respected worldbeat festivals, "Masala", in 2017. Today the m.age.project is manifesting as a highly appreciated gem for cosmopolitan listeners, festival fans and like-minded artists of a transcultural electronica movement all around the globe!
