When asked why his stage name is Greg Thomas, Gregor Dartiguelongue explains that 'Thomas' is a tribute to Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter and also, in the first place, his middle name. Born on October 1st, 1997, the franco-british producer grew up in the surroundings of Tours, France. Dartiguelongue started making music at the age of 17, in early 2015. He first made demos heavily inspired by French filtered House and by the Chicago House scene, but then turned away from house music in 2019 with the release of oldschool hip hop project 'Sounds From The Ghetto'. Greg also started to spin records in touraine, France with the G-Ometrik deejay crew in 2020. Inspired a lot by 90's & early 2000 electronica and trip-hop, he released his debut album 'Chillin' on a Saturday in 1999' in 2021, and released its remixes the year after to inaugurate the G-Ometrik record label 'G-Ometrik Records'. Greg Thomas having now definitely turned towards lounge music, in 2023 he co-founded the Lounge Affiliation crew with whom he delivers sophisticated compilations, and released his well received second LP « Hotel Mania★★★ » in 2024. Collaborations, mixes, solo projects, remixes.. the lounge journey continues.
