Kyoshi (Gadigal/Sydney) have transcended standard genre labels, to create thought-provoking music with a commitment to unapologetic individuality. The four piece have synthesised their own distinctive voice, a psychedelic take on modern future-soul; a profound combination of rich vocal harmonies, eclectic rhythmic ideas, lush synth textures and deeply fragile lyrical content, that is completely indicative of Kyoshi’s soulful and experimental sound. Their audience grows with each performance from a shared love of syncopated rhythms and lo-fi, head-nodding grooves. Their debut LP ‘Kyoshi’ (2021) demonstrated their musical and production capabilities and showed them love from FBI Radio (Gadigal/Sydney) as “Independent Artist of the Week”, radio play from taste-maker stations ‘WorldwideFM’ and 'Triple J' and debuted at #6 on the ‘Australian Independent Record' charts. The next year for Kyoshi includes touring, collaborations and multiple releases.
