As a child, Andre Heuvelman (1966) had a great passion for making music. The trumpet appeared in his life by coincidence. However, this instrument offered a great challenge because of Andre’s handicap – he had a short lower-arm and a limp wrist. His down-to-earth approach to achieve what he dreamed of in the world of music allows Andre to have a compelling story to tell. That explains why he’s asked often as a keynote speaker to touch, connect and inspire audiences. With his beautiful music and touching vulnerability he shares his story and challenges his audience to take their place on their own, individual stages. ndre has been a trumpet player since 1990 and the solo trumpet for the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra since 1997. The orchestra is famous for extraordinary concerts in the most beautiful concert halls in the world. Andre is also a member of the Netherlands Wind Ensemble, which is well known in the Netherlands for the annual New Year’s concerts on Dutch national television.
