Bashjärta is a one man band, consisting of the Swedish bass player, producer and song-writer Mattias Areskog. Through his career Mattias has played with artists as Marit Bergman, Anna Ternheim, Mattias Hellberg, Consequences and Friska Viljor. In 2007 he formed the band Brothers Of End together with Bengt Lagerberg and Lars-Olof Johansson Ståle from The Cardigans. Brothers of End have released three albums and has been praised for their soft and mellow darkness. In 2021 Mattias released his first solo album, named Bashjärta, named after the phenomena when the music and the bass is so loud that the heart starts beating in the same beat as the song.
