Hey, my name is Marc Schmieder, a self-taught musician and producer whose musical journey began in progressive metal with my band Voay .My exploration has led me through diverse genres—film music, chillhop, synthwave, pop rock, and funk/soul. My latest album, 'Osaka Nights,' has marked a significant milestone in my musical odyssey. Inspired by my 2013 trip to Japan, this album is a heartfelt tribute to the artists who've shaped my musical identity: Nujabes, Uyama Hiroto, fat jon, Marcus D, Bad Snacks, and Birocratic Each track in 'Osaka Nights' represents a unique chapter in this sonic journey. 'Windchilled' reimagines my initial published song in a Chillhop rendition, while 'Good Snacks' was crafted from 'Neat Tape 1,' a sample pack courtesy of Bad Snacks a favorite Chillhop artist. 'Amin the Fox' explores the ambiance inspired by Leavv's sound. The latest addition to this musical narrative is 'Osaka Nights 大阪の夜,' the album's centerpiece. This track, with its fusion of Chillhop and Jazz-Funk, draws inspiration from artists like Uyama Hiroto ,DJ Okawari, and ken sato experience .Its uniqueness shines amidst the scarcity of similar artists, showcasing my true stylistic essence.
