Dallas-based musical pioneer Fat Pimp is blazing his own path in the industry. He first broke through as an underground rapper with his debut release. Now, with over 10 years of experience, he’s more motivated today than ever before. Fat Pimp, a nickname coined by a high school classmate, began his love for music as a producer, but gradually became known for his impromptu freestyle sessions while attending Texas Southern University in Houston. From this strengthening in technical ability, he was able to produce his first hit “Rack Daddy”, which went viral throughout the southern regions. In 2008, he was signed to Warner Brothers and started cranking out hits lefts and right. This landed Fat Pimp multiple singles on the Billboard charts including the club banger “Maserati”. In the midst of his music creation, he also had time to Co-Star in the hit movie “Triple D” in 2014. Fat Pimp has also collaborated and released tracks with artists such as Waka Flocka and Manny Fresh. Fat Pimp has been dominating the Southern Hip Hop scene and has no intentions of slowing down. He always tries to find a positive space and a studio with fresh and peaceful energy. Fat Pimp said, “that the key to making timeless music is good smoke and positive thinking.” Fat Pimp never looks back and says he is striving to leave a legacy that leaves him alongside legends from Texas such as Scarface and UGK.
