Biography

Known by many names, but in regard to music, the name Upzkale, is preferred. Growing up in the city of Gardena, California, the musical influences of West Coast legends from Domino, to Too $hort were the motivation behind his musical talents. Highly inspired by the works of The Notorious B.I.G. and Ludacris, Upzkale has an unmatched ear for creative music. Upzkale first began his musical endeavors in 2011. The release of his first single “Bottles Over Bitches” opened the door for future collaborations with artist both local and national. Known for his over the top, party boy antics, In 2014, the mixtape “King N.I.G.G.A.” was released under the self owned, indie label, Platinum Vinyl Records. The project was well received and highly rated for its “ratchet” line up of original songs. Emerging from a short hiatus from recording music, to manage and develop new talent, Upzkale began recording and released his debut album, titled “1997” in 2018, which paid homage to his musical inspirations, and provided a sense of old school rap nostalgia, blended with a new “upzkale” feel.
