Jef Maarawi is a singer-songwriter from Brazil, Greece, and Syria. He was born in São Paulo, Brazil, and his music draws heavily from the storytelling pedigree of artists such as Bob Dylan, Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy and Sufjan Stevens. He is also in a never-ending exploration of Brazilian music, inspired by artists such as Jorge Ben Jor, Chico Buarque, Tim Maia, Rita Lee and Caetano Veloso.
