A.k.a Luke Mourinet, Fortun8 Fellaz, Ruff & Jam. Starting out as a weekend club DJ in Paris, Luke soon relocated to London to serve as a French market talent scout, songwriter and recording engineer for PWL / Pete Waterman Entertainment. Shortly thereafter Luke paired up with Jean Marie Moens, the collaboration paid quick dividends when the pair produced the infectious US mix of Kylie Minogue’s “Love at First Sight,” a Billboard #1 hit which also earned a prestigious Grammy nod. Ruff & Jam’s success with Kylie opened the door to a series of collaborations with A‐list artists such as The Killers, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Craig Armstrong, Robbie Williams, Amy Winehouse to name but a few. Luke then branched out with a Chicago house‐influenced project under the name Fortun8 Fellaz, with releases quickly scooped up by Fatboy Slim’s Southern Fried Records. In recent years, also began work on a solo album. A true labour of love, Twenty Five Ten features collaborations with artists such as Kevin Godley of 10CC and James Atkin of EMF. In 2017, in collaboration with his manager Tom Parker, Luke gradually returned to the studio producing irresistible new remixes of select pop classics for such legendary artists as Kim Wilde, Debbie Gibson, Ace of Base, Shakespears Sister and Rose Laurens, also as Mix Engineer for the likes of Fine Young Cannibals and Bananarama, with his new mixdown of “Cruel Summer” featured in Jordan Peele’s acclaimed HBO series Lovecraft Country.
