Meet Wollongong’s very own YCY. YCY is a 17 year old artist/engineer hailing from the South Coast. YCY's career began in 2022 with several SoundCloud/YT releases, this led to him eventually attracting attention in the local scene and it pushed him towards performing at live events such as (YKTV Festival, Pass The Mic by Bodega and LITUP - Co-Hosted by his MGMT & BloodJuiceAU. Over this time YCY also developed his sound in several studios across Sydney's South/South-West utilising his studies in Sound & Music Production to his advantage. "YCY" would go on to release his debut studio single "Views On Central" in December of 2022, following that with his most successful release to date "The Principle" both which led him to attracting 100K+ streams across all platforms connecting him to where he is today and only still progressing. Eventually, he would go on to partner with his management to form and create “Lit Up” an annual Hip-Hop/Rap Music Event based out of his city of Wollongong, which has now also branded into “LIT-UP Presents”, which also represents their newly formed “LIT-UP Records” record label.
