The Norwegian underground classic "The Island - Music by Lars Myrvoll" would be the first in a series of eclectic musical explorations by Myrvoll, that would become The Island Band. Myrvoll's The Island Band's sounds ranges from lofi solo acoustic guitar improvisations, to grandiose orchestral scores inspired by Frank Sinatra-format recordings, featuring pop-vocals, as well as elements of modern electronic music and RnB. The Island Band is released by experimental/contemporary jazz label Hubro Music.
