It Was All A Dream is the new Dream Pop Avant Garde project from Amy Maskell and Sophie Lowe, formerly of London trio Peluché. Blending synths, clarinet, drums and vocals, It Was All A Dream create a sonic landscape which draws on elements of 90s pop, dance, dub, soul and RnB. The duo met over a decade ago through a beautiful stranger in a customer service encounter and have been playing music together ever since. Their previous band Peluché, released their debut album, Unforgettable, in 2018 via One Little Independent Records as well as a single via Dan Carey’s Speedy Wunderground label, receiving high praise from the likes of Rolling Stone, Noisey, i-D, Q, NME, TLOBF and The Guardian. Their debut EP ‘Never Forget You Are Free’, recorded with Toby Burroughs from Pozi, was released in October 2022 via Mexican label Some Other Planet Records. The band released ‘Remember Me’ produced by Mellah in September 2023 which received radio support from Amy Lamé at BBC 6Music. 2024 will see some exciting new releases and collaborations from the band, who have spent the first few months of the year in Mexico writing and recording an EP influenced by their travels, due for release later this year on Some Other Planet Records.
