Farid Syed a.k.a $miley is a Malaysian-French musician, vocalist and instrumentalist currently based in Kuala Lumpur. His love for music has allowed him to explore a relatively small but thriving jazz scene in KL with names like Marcus Young from Q sound and John Thomas spearheading the movement. Syed plays multiple instruments including the drums, piano & flute that have allowed him to hone his abilities with other producers and creating his own sound within his solo projects. He continuously experiments with the different sounds in his instruments and gives it life with vocals that blend harmoniously with the music he produces. His recent project with multi-instrumentalist Greybox from Jakarta has received positive feedback from peers throughout the industry and together, as celetre, they look to push he boundaries of the music they make with a nod to jazz greats while giving it a modern flavour that is solely theirs.
