Growing up in Myanmar, isolated from the rest of the world, the internet and music are the only safe spaces for Zwel Mun Wint aka Heft to connect with people around the world. After pursing music as passionate music lover among the internet communities, Heft wanted more beyond to reconnect himself by making music to express the love of the music and most importantly, his true identity with a musical language. He is known for his etheric soundscapes, emotional beats, glitch drums and melodramatic melodies. His influences are Aphex Twin, Ben Frost, Jon Hopkins, Ryuichi Sakamoto, The Glitch Mob and Moderat. His music is also inspired by cosmic horror, liminal, etheric and spiritual films such as Annihilation, Tree of Life, The Seventh Seal, Arrival and Prometheus. Heft has recently released "Mensch", the last album of trilogy of Solicit (Self-Destruction), Hermitage (Self-Discovery) and Mensch (Self-Acceptance). Heft expressed his maturity in both music and personal life, from going through the period of an isolation during Covid and Coup in Mensch. The album features with a vocalist Karen Vogt, and remixes from Alex Smoke, Recue, illocanblo, Mathmatrix, blanckien, cat cancer and Analept. Previously Heft has collaborated with Lyli J, Roel Funcken, Aevin, Keiss, After the Pulse, MLTPLX and Cyance in the Hermitage album.
