With over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry as a personal trainer and fitness instructor, her journey began with a simple love of movement, dreaming of making beats to accompany her high-energy routines. Through her second chance in the “On a New Track” Reentry Mentoring Program, Geri Meyers adopted the moniker of “geriFree”. Now an artist on Give a Beat Records; a label for social change and a voice of the underrepresented, she celebrated the groundbreaking release of the first song on the label. “Pure Joy” exudes positivity, the near four-minute single is interlaced with works poetically spoken by geriFree.
