Bolivian pianist Sergio Escalera is a multifaceted musician whose performances encompass classical styles, jazz, folk music and original compositions. As a top-prize winner of numerous international piano competitions, he has toured Europe, Asia, Latin-America and the US as a solo pianist and alongside world-class musicians. Hailed by French magazine Diapason after his debut in Lugano at the "Progetto Martha Argerich 2016", his career has taken him to create eclectic programs, which combine top standard piano repertoire by Beethoven, Schumann, Brahms, to name a few, with Latin-American genres, Middle Eastern fusion styles and Jazz. Sergio's debut album, "Piano Vagabundo," captures his adventurous musical spirit and travels, often leading him to perform at unconventional venues. This album is a musical journey through Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula. He currently resides in Lisbon, Portugal.
