Samo had to grow up quick, and take over the “man of the house” role at a very young age. Once his father was deported back to his native country Haiti. Samo had the same struggles most kids have growing up in low income neighborhood. Nobody knew what Samo was going through mentally, he had a hard time expressing himself and communicating to his peers. The only way he knew how to express himself was through his music. Samo was connected to music thru his Hatian roots & immersed into other acts such as Bob Marley, Wyclef Jean, & Soulja Slim. Which later helped him create his sound thru a fusion of soca, reggae, pop, hip hop & Afro-beat. And w/ his continued dedication, and passion for his craft.
