Hypercolor is an avant jazz-rock trio of global citizens based in New York City. Drummer, percussionist, and composer Lukas Ligeti originally hails from Austria, guitarist Eyal Maoz from Israel, and bassist/composer James Ilgenfritz from the U.S. All are established soloists involved in a wide variety of concurrent and sometimes overlapping projects, and all are active members of New York's creative jazz scene.
