Lyric was born Stephon Baldwin in November 1997. He started rapping at the age of 7. He quit rapping and starting writing rock music. Eventually, his friends and him started hosting rap battles on their school bus in 8th grade, which ultimately got him back into hip-hop. He has been writing ever since. Lyric released his first song, "Lyrical Madness", in the summer of 2013. It took him another year to release his next song entitled "Go Hard", in the summer of 2014. Since then, Lyric has been writing, recording, mixing, and mastering his own music. He released his first EP, "Glory", in November 2014. Since 2013, he has released 7 solo projects including 4 EP's, 1 mixtape, and 2 albums. He's also released and helped create a collaborative EP with his label, MassesUnderRapt (MUR) in 2017.
