Parv represents the voice of a forgotten generation, raised in a place where dreams rarely become reality and global superstars exist solely on front room television sets. Born and raised on the Leigh Park estate in England’s south coast city of Portsmouth, Parv has a lot to say about growing up as a working class kid in modern day Britain. But glamorization and hyperbole are strictly off limits. Instead, he delivers honest self-reflection and social commentary on a variety of subjects from love and work, to dreams and aspirations, in a manner that is as commercially accessible as it is credible. Musically, his style stands alone as an effortless fusion of UK hip hop, grime, RnB and soul, combining pin point lyricism with powerful and emotive hooks which would feel at home on any commercial playlist. His use of diverse musical backdrops is highlighted in particular within his live performances, where he’s joined by a full live band to provide an eclectic soundboard of electronic production and live instrumentation.
