Ghulam Hasan Khan, an eminent young Hindustani classical vocalist. Ghulam Hasan Khan belongs to the 200 year old Rampur – Sahaswan Gharana which owes its allegiance to Miyan Tansen’s tradition. He belongs to the musical family and is the grandson of Padmashree Ustad Ghulam Sadiq Khan and son of Ghulam Abbas Khan, a classical vocalist of international repute. He was initiated into music at a tender age of 3 years by his father Ustad Ghulam Abbas Khan. He was being trained under the worthy guidance of his legendary grandfather Padmashri Ustad Ghulam Sadiq Khan, who was one of the finest classical vocalists of India.Gifted with the sonorous and mellifluous voice, Ghulam Hasan Khan specializes in Khayal style which highlights the systematic ‘Badhat’ of Raga, intricate and graceful fast ‘Sapat’ Taans of full three octaves. Smooth Meend and well knitted Sargam patterns, artistically intertwined with rhythmic designs. Apart from Khayal, he also renders Thumri,Dadra and Tappa. He has been regularly performing in other countries like Singapore,Thailand,Malaysia,Australia,UK,Nepal,Bhutan,Russia,UAE,China,Japan to name a few. Ghulam Hasan Khan is an artist of All India Radio and doordarshan since 2018, Recipient of Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan Award, Empanelled artist of ICCR, Received the scholarship of Sahitya Kala parishad and recently received the ITC-SRA scholarship 2020 from Mumbai. He also performed with the Grammy Awardee legendary musician,AR Rahman.
