Lo Twon grew up with music surrounding him everyday of his life. Lo Twon as he is commonly known in the surrounding Chicago land area is the seventh oldest of his large but talented family. His mother a single parent, homemaker and singer took on the role of father and mentor.Young Antione attended talent shows and local music functions with his mom and family.During that time living in a 4 bedroom housing project as a young boy Lo Twon witnessed first hand the inner city blues.Being the 7th child wasn't easy for Malachi he watched as his family went through harder and rougher times. It was the music that lifted the spirts of the Paige family when Lo Twon at the age of 7 suffered an accident by falling from a 3rd floor balcony of an apartment high rise that put him into a comma for two weeks."My moms would tell me that the doctors didn't know whether I would make it or not but she stayed at my bed side to pray and sing gospel songs and those very songs I believed guided me out of the dark and back to life. Lo Twon would later overcome the struggles of his child hood only to find out that life dosen't get easier but only harder.He was given an alias name "MALACHI" by a friend due to his metaphorical lyrics and solemn story telling that graphically shares with his listeners the struggles of his life and experiences, dubbing him the "Streets Messenger".
