Evan Joseph is a Brooklyn based music composer, producer, performer and sound designer. His music and sound work for film has earned numerous awards and his projects have screened at festivals all over the world. Outside of film, Joseph has composed significant works for contemporary dance, providing music for such companies as MJM Dance (for which he is also the music director), The Sabrosura Effect and the prestigious Young Dancemakers Company. Joseph’s music has accompanied performances at major NYC venues such as Mark Morris Dance, 92nd Street Y, Symphony Space, Kumble Theater and Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theater. As a music producer Evan Joseph has collaborated with a number hip-hop and R&B artists around the nation. Joseph steps into new territory with his first official music releases, part of a series focused on his travels around the world. Taking inspiration from sounds personally recorded in different cities and countries Joseph crafts unique ambient soundscapes and infuses them with a blend of hip-hop and jazz rhythms.
