Bassist and composer from Guanajuato, Mexico, bachelor graduated from the University of Guanajuato. He studied in 2010 with Sheila Garrett (Canada), @John Hyde (Canada) and @Rubim of Toledo (Brazil) at Mount Royal University in Canada. He has received master classes from prominent musicians as @Frank Proto (United States), @Volkan Orhon (United States), @Joel Quarrington (Canada), @Stefano Scodanibbio (Italy), @Markus Stockhausen (Germany), @Thierry Barbe (France), @Jeff Bradetich (United States), among others. In 2021 he completed a master's degree in Music Performance at the Norwegian Academy of Music with @Dan Styffe and @Håkon Thelin. He is currently a member of the @Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad de Guanajuato, as well as various chamber music and jazz projects. He is conductor and founder of @Mushamukas ensamble de contrabajos, with which he has premiered and recorded works by composers from avant-garde. As a composer he has obtained the grand prize in the ISB (International Society of Bassist) Composition Contest 2020 and 2022, grand prize in the FICI Composition Contest (International Children's Double Bass Festival) 2021 and has been Composer-in-Residence of the Latin Orchestra of Europe in 2021, his works have been premiered in more than 11 counties around the world. Additionally, he is professor of the double bass chair at the University of Guanajuato.
