Viah is an electronic duo that does their own thing – experimenting with synthesizers that happen to be within reach, singing and dancing. Gentle harmonies of two vocals combined with dance beats. “We constantly try to surprise one another.” At their concerts you are invited into their personal emotional sauna. They repeatedly push themselves to the edge of their limits, two introverted souls with an inner need for exhibitionism. They’re moody, ever-so-slightly shy, they have an eye for detail, and an urge to experiment. Is it a duo, or a trio? In recent years, Viah has become a kind of modular project within the band's composition. “This year, nearing the fifth year of our band's existence, we have finally learned to accept the constant instability of band members as an advantage, giving us freedom to grow. And so we have invited Tomáš Martínek (aka TMA) to join us on stage.” In 2019, they won Czeching, a music competition of Radio Wave, where they were recognized by an international jury as a young Czech music project that is most ready for export abroad. They have played over 100 concerts (out of them 20 abroad). Among others, they have played at Sziget 2023 and Colours of Ostrava 2023.
