Dariush (aka Darsh) is an Austrian/Persian producer and engineer. While his early influences are clearly rooted in jazz and hip hop, Dariush's sound is constantly developing. He cites Dr. Dre, J Dilla, Nujabes, RZA, Q-Tip, DJ Premier, DJ Quik, Kanye West, Just Blaze, Madlib, MF DOOM, Pete Rock, Flying Lotus, The Alchemist, 9th Wonder & Knxwledge as key influences. Dariush has been making beats since middle school and eventually went on to study music production and audio engineering at California Lutheran University. During his college years, Dariush met numerous independent artists such as Lola Violet, Uraelb, Marcíto, Randy White, Gene Rash, Isaiah Bowers, Aubren Elaine, and others. This is where he was able to collaborate, broaden his knowledge, and fine tune his skills as an independent producer, and as a recording/mixing/mastering engineer. After graduating from college in 2020 and being faced with the global pandemic, Dariush went on to utilize online platforms such as BeatStars to sell beats, and EngineEars to offer engineering services.
