Il gruppo corale “I Polifonici Vicentini” nasce nel 1980. Propone un ampio repertorio di musica corale, anche romantica e contemporanea, e interpreta, di preferenza, la grande polifonia sacra e profana. Si unisce a vari gruppi strumentali e orchestre per l’esecuzione di importanti opere di Monteverdi, Bach, Vivaldi, Haendel, Mozart, Schubert, Bruckner, ecc. Ha al suo attivo varie incisioni anche con musiche di autori contemporanei. The Polifonici Vicentini were first set up in 1980 as a male choir although female voices were soon added. Continuous research into music has enabled the choir to approach the most diverse choral singing: from ancient polyphony to Renaissance compositions, from Romantic sentimentalism to contemporary song writers. Pages of sacred and profane music, pieces performed only by the male or female choir, with the madrigal formation, or, as usually occurs, by the full choir. They have achieved top places in the most important national and international competitions. DIRETTORE/CONDUCTOR PIERLUIGI COMPARIN è diplomato in Organo e Composizione Organistica, Musica Corale e Direzione di Coro e in Prepolifonia. E’ direttore, sin dalla sua fondazione, de “I Polifonici Vicentini”. M° PierLuigi Comparin was first his father’s pupil; later he studied at the Conservatory in Vicenza, Verona and in Venice. He graduated in the study of Organ and Organistic Composition, also in Choral Music, Chorus Direction and Prepolifonia.
