Born in Ennis, Texas on January 12, 1998. Atex was born to immigrant parents who struggled to maneuver and build a life in a foreign country where they did not speak the native language. At the age of three his family moved to Doraville, Ga, and after years of moving back and forth between Indiana, Texas, and their hometown in Mexico, they finally decided to settle in Doraville. Ever since then Atex has worn these influences of his past life on his sleeve and in 2021 started Lonestar Trapstar Records to honor his birth town and his home town, respectively. With an entrepreneur mindset that he inherited from his father, Atex set out to make a name for himself in the music industry in 2015. He spent his summer vacations working on a construction site for his dad's concrete company where he finally made enough money to start his own home studio. A product of generational trauma, high expectations, and even higher ambitions, Atex’s vision for the future is unmatched in life and in music. His sound is an amalgamation of southern hip-hop, 2000s radio pop, and his own family’s Mexican cultural background. It may only be a question of time, a question of the right co-sign, or it might never happen. Whatever the case may be, I invite you into my world where God is the leader, and I am merely a servant of his will. It is God’s decision whether I will be a superstar one day, but he has blessed me with the vision that one day I will, and I have full Faith in God’s Plan. Amen.
