Drup (Dru Pearson) is a 22 year old independent artist representing Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He fell in love with music at a young age and utilized softwares such as VirtualDJ, GarageBand, FL Studio, and Logic to teach himself everything he knows to date. He officially started his music career in 2018 and has continued to further his growth by creating a handful of albums that consist of a variety of genres with Hip Hop being the primary focus. While earlier albums held more of a “Playboi Carti sound,” albums like “Hope” revolve around Alternative elements while “Advantage” conquers multiple newer rap styles. Furthermore, his album “Peace” is cleverly lyrical and holds a boom-bap/alt rap environment, and “Street Gospel” is a collaborative trap album containing 15 features! This has created a very diverse following, and there is no question Drup has a very versatile sound and wide range of skill.
