Mukhethwa Gwen Mphilo (born August 13, 1996), professionally known as Kurtis Guap (also known as Kurtis Beats or simply Guapy), is a South African Award Winning record producer and also a singer, mixing & mastering engineer, songwriter, and DJ. Born in Madombidzha, Limpopo and raised in Tshikota Location - A Township in Louis Trichardt, Limpopo. Kurtis Guap began a production career back in primary school at the age of 11 and as he got more experienced, he then started becoming known for his melodic records with South African artists such as Spikiri, Makhadzi, J Molley, Spender, Mizo Phyll, AB Crazy, Enosoul and Square Pass to name a few. In 2018, SAMA25(South African Music Awards) awarded the 'Best Kwaito/Dance' category to an album by Spikiri which Kurtis Guap produced on for more than 1 song.
